I visited for the first time last night an hour before close. I was getting a long hair cut with layers and adding face-framing bangs after growing out my bangs the past two years. (I also have an important event in a few days, so I was nervous about trying a new stylist.) I've always loved Aveda salons, so I booked with Lisa, a master stylist. Right out of the gate, the entire staff was not only tolerant of my service dog but welcoming. ‍ I typically bring a padded mat for him, but we were crunched for time getting there after work. I didn't mention his mat, but they automatically offered to bring my dog a towel to lay on, which he loved. Lisa asked many clarification questions as to the look I was going for. She let me show her pics and describe my experience with my natural waves and certain products. She told me we would take off the majority of the bangs and then come back after she'd cut the back. Aside from adding subtle layers, I asked her to take off very little length. She listened, which is not ways the case with stylists as we all well know! She then made three passes at my bangs based on not wanting to take off too much. I really appreciated her level of care, empathy, and patience with my service dog and me. I also discussed starting demi coloring with her and asked several questions about products she used to style my fresh cut. I loved how she didn't push products on me like some people do. She was all about making me comfortable Nd happy! Needless to say, she's my new stylist, and I can't recommend her enough!

Tru on Park has been my go-to salon for years! Love the vibe, Aveda products and staff but the main reason is Lizzy. She is an amazing human being, colorist magician and my part time therapist. Lizzy also takes the time to understand my vision during consultation and isn't afraid to speak up or redirect if needed. I trust her implicitly and would highly recommend Lizzy or any of the Tru on Park stylists!​

This salon is hands down the best I've ever been to. I get my hair cut by Liz and Liz only. She creates such a chill, down-to-earth, and real atmosphere. She is honest about her skills and tells great stories, on top of always just naturally making me look better than I did when I walked in. Liz and the rest of the welcoming staff at Tru On Park will be the place I get my haircut until I move out of the Greater Rochester area. Thank you guys!

My name is Nan Rose. I use a walker 100% of the time. When I mentioned that to the receptionist, she said "just holler and someone will come and get you." However, that wasn't a satisfactory answer to my question. I need to know someone will be there. And what about the winter? I desperately want to come to you. But I'm so reluctant about the stairs. Easily the best salon Iv been to. Skyler gave me one of, if not the best haircut Iv ever had. She listened and worked with me so well. The salon itself as a very welcoming and friendly environment. Very organized and clean. If I could give Tru on Park six stars I would!

This was my first visit and Gabriella gave me not only the cut i showed but actually improved on it! I am beyond happy and will be a regular from now on. Not only talented, gabriella was also kind and awesome to just hang out with. Thank you!

Just had my haircut at Tru on Park for the first time and I am THRILLED with the results. Gabriella was my stylist and I am beyond impressed with her professionalism, knowledge, and artistry. She took an immense amount of time with me prior to the cut, assessing my needs and concerns. (I am woman in mid-life and losing hair - yikes!) I walked in feeling a bit worn out and walked out feeling like a million bucks. The cut is technically perfect and I LOVE IT. Thank you, Gabriella. I will be back!

I love Tru on Park. Rachel helped me plan my wedding hair all the way from Texas. When I flew home to Rochester with only 3 days until my wedding she was very accommodating with my tight timeframe. She colored my hair and did voMor extensions. She did an awesome job and I was so happy with how my wedding hair turned out. I ended up moving back to Rochester, NY in 2022 and Rachel has been doing my hair since. She is great at hearing/understanding what I want and helping me by making recommendations for me. My hair always looks amazing when I leave Tru. All the other stylists/staff I've interacted with here are so friendly and welcoming.

I don't take care of my hair as much as I should, but getting it cut by Gabriella is probably the best thing i've ever done for it. Came in with bleach damaged grungy hair and walked out with a beautiful shag that made my hair feel healthy for weeks. 6/5 stars if I could

Gordon is so good! From the first time I met with him, he took great care of me and my hair. He tested it to make sure it was healthy to do anything before he made his suggestions. He worked with me to come up with a great style and color. Even when I went PINK he did an amazing job! I LOVED! He's very easy to talk to and makes sitting in the chair a nice place to be so it's like visiting at a friends house, but now you get your hair done too! I'm spoiled and won't go to anyone else. I trust Gordon completely with my hair. The receptionist Alexis is so great too! Always greets me with a smile and calls me by my first name. I love her! I got the best haircut I think I've ever had in my 65-year lifetime at Tru on Park. Not only is their online appointment system seamless, but everyone was very kind and helpful. I was not pressured to buy product (though I did because they smell so wonderful) and Lisa listened carefully to what I wanted, made helpful suggestions and showed real expertise on my cut. I think this is an outstanding salon, not pretentious, totally professional and comfortable. Clean, lovely decor and I just can't ask for anything more in a haircare spot.

I got a total transformation from Gordon. He was very considerate and gentle and my hair turned out beautiful. I highly recommend him!

This is the first time I've ever written a review but oh my gosh, I seriously cannot say enough good things about this place!! I was looking for a new stylist and decided to come to tru on park because I had heard good things. From the start the service was awesome. They offered me a drink (seltzer, water, tea) and made me feel really welcome. Also great vibes with the music. Gabriella was my stylist and she immediately made me feel comfortable. I really wanted to try something new but was nervous because I have naturally curly hair. We worked together to find a style that would accentuate my curls and she totally rocked it. AND it looks good blown out too. I get compliments all the time and I'm absolutely in love with the cut. I feel like my curls have never looked better. If you're considering a new place to go, definitely go to tru on park!

They got the job done, but with a smidge of attitude. My BFF took me here on my recent visit to Rochester. She had a full hair appointment and booked me a blow out. The lovely stylist did a fabulous job on my hair, giving me the look of spending the day at beach when I really spent the day in the apple orchards. Lovely front desk help. Also super shout out to the nicest person who washed my hair and we chatted about travel tips.

W hat a wonderful salon. Every person working there is so warm and welcoming, attentive and anxious to please. Colleen has cut my hair several times and today she added the red color that I have been missing as I awaited old color to grow out. She is a gem, so warm and anxious to make everything comfortable and pleasant. I was asked several times if I was comfortable, wanted more water, and so on. Do call for an appointment, you will not regret it. There are several steps up to the door with railings and the seats are comfortable in the waiting area and padded, not hard seats. The atmosphere is pleasant and appealing,

One day my son and I were walking down Park Ave, post lunch, and I saw this cool looking Aveda salon. I had just moved back to the area (for a bit) and very much needed a hair cut and color. Well, from the first moment I reached out via Yelp to the moment I walked out the door post appt it was a lovely experience! I appreciated the communication and the follow up, and Gabby was simply wonderful, even giving me some great recommendations for food in the area. I adore tru on park and highly recommend!

I had my appointment at Tru last week and I always feel like a valued customer. It is impeccable clean and updated atmosphere to spend the time getting my hair colored and cut. Rachael always listens to to my concerns and requests so that the end result is always positive. Definitely puts a spring in my step leaving the Salon. Always a friendly staff and a wonderful visit.
